Tingvollost produces cheese, based on milk from our own farm.

Organized as a family business in Torjulvagen, Norway, we make both blue and white cheese (six different sorts totally).

All our products are based on pasteurized cow's milk.

One big family
The farm, named Saghaug Gard, consists of totally ten family members, 130 cattle and 25 sheeps.

Geographically we live at the west coast of Norway, known for it's famous fjords.

Here we produce 250 000 liters of milk a year. Most of this is sold as consume milk, but as we have just finished building a new production locality (the summer of 2006) for our cheese, this will change in the years to come.

Increasing our capacity
Our aim is to produce 14 000 kilos of cheese a year.

Both the white and blue cheeses are quite popular, and are being sold to restaurants and through stores in our region.

If you want to pay us a visit, you are mostly welcome. And of course you can buy our cheese directly from the farm (we have our own store), as well as other handmade products from the region. You'll also be able to learn some about how we run the farm. During 2008 we'll also build a new barn, so there'll be plenty to experience.

If you want to make sure that we're home, you could call one of us - Kristin at (+47) 915 92 923. And by the way - we don't charge card, only norwegian currency.

Greetings from us at Tingvollost.
